Fancy Lunch for a Sick Girl

Eva has a bad case of the flu and she's been pretty miserable for a few days. Yesterday she requested this "Classis Cucumber Sandwich" from her princess cookbook for lunch and this cool Daddy made it for her!

Daddy n Daughter have the same expression...weird. And then there's Will the photo bomber!

 So fancy. Even has a sprinkled dill garnish.

Last Soccer Game

This season my team name was Orange Stars! We won every game so we got to be a part of a city championship. We finally lost about halfway through, but it was still fun! This is a pic of me after that last game. It rained the whole time. I was cold and wet!

It finally stopped raining after our game was done, but we got to see a double rainbow and some beautiful clouds! I told my mom they were "Cotton Candy clouds!"

Chicks and a Lost Tooth

One day we ran to mom and said, "A mommy chicken layed baby chicks!!" Mom came to see the baby chicks and they were bright yellow little baby chicks! And now we are starting to feed them.

I also lost a tooth! It was my 6th tooth. I was eating an apple and then suddenly I felt something and my tongue felt where my wiggly tooth was and I realized that I lost a tooth with an apple! I put the tooth under my pillow and then that morning I got a dollar!

Weekly Update

Last weekend, Mimi and Papa Ragsdale came for a visit! We went Crawdading in the river by our house. We kept only the big ones and then we cooked and ate them! I don't really like to eat crawdads.

I got a new Violin for my birthday cuz the other was aunt Jessica's and we had to give it back when we moved. Our new violin teacher is named Miss Jenny. I do my violin practice quicker than Graham cuz I do it fast.

I like fixing my hair and I figure out cool things to do on my dolly's hair.

School is going good and I made lots of friends. I always follow the rules in my class.

Soccer is fun and this week on my games they got zero goal and we got five goals. My team name is Orange Stars and my coach is funny!

Eva is SEVEN!!

 It was a school day, so we started off with a candle in the morning oatmeal. 

We invited the Lochheads over for dessert and the little boys were helpful with tearing up the angel food cake for the trifle. They are so cute. 

Daddy had the cute idea of getting slider buns for the hamburgers, because everything is cuter when it's little! 

And finally dessert and presents!!

Birthday lunch surprise

Lee got home early so we went to the school and surprised Evelyn by having lunch with her! Daddy also picked up a little treat.

I couldn't get a pic of her opening her eyes and smiling, every time she opened her eyes she was cross-eyed...that's why she is laughing in the pic! Silly girl.

Highlight of the day! 

Soccer girl!

Eva had a great soccer game today! She played hard and I think the practice time we are spending with her is paying off. She is more aggressive and more away of what's going on around her. Less la la land.

This afternoon, her fabulous coach, Kris Kidd, sent me this text message:

"Hello!  I didn't get a chance to tell you after the game today, but Evelyn had a Soccer Awakening Today!  She was on Fire!"

He is seriously the best. I have loved having Evelyn on his team. She has grown and learned so much, and best of all - he has made it such a FUN experience for her and all her team mates.

"We had a good time at the yogurt zone. Mostly hard gummies. It was such a good treat!"

Good grief teeth!!

Eva was quietly eating her parfait during breakfast this morning and I hear a tiny "ouch!" I looked over at her and she is holding her tooth! Apparently the tiny chopped apples in the parfait were to much for that line tooth to handle. It's touch eating with so few top teeth. 

This is her fifth lost tooth and she is rather proud that she has caught up to Graham.

Eva stitched together that little fox with a pocket inside. She will often leave the fox with a note by my pillow. Here is my lovely painted love note I got today! 

We want softs hearts.

We had an FHE lesson on humility. I used the idea of soft hearts vs hard hearts to teach the concept. This is what Eva drew during Sacrament Meeting the following Sunday.

SLA Ballet recital

As part of our homeschool co-op, the girls could join a little ballet class...they all did. At the end of the semester, they had a recital!

Second Tooth!

After a super soccer game and during the saturday morning session of General Conference, Eva started fiddling with her loose tooth! This can't be happening!

Here is the note she wrote to the Tooth Fairy. She lost her first tooth between the cracks of the deck in the back yard. She wrote this note to tell the Tooth Fairy what happened in hopes that she could still get paid!

Soccer Girl

This is the second season with this wonderful coach at the local YMCA. I think Eva is getting the hang of things! She was awesome and so determined. I could see in her face that she was pushing herself....and she was rewarded for her work and scored TWO GOALS!!

Her coach makes a huge deal out of every goal and has a special little celebratory routine (double high fives and a shoulder bump) that he does with the girl when they score, I love it!

Birthday Daddy-Daughter Date!

The Chick-fil-A around the corner has fancy events once in a while. Of course, we had to do this one as it was right by her birthday! You have to call and make reservations and everything. It's super cute!

Lee was super impressed how fast I whipped up a pirates patch out of his old leather coat. He said he was the only dad there who dressed up and all the servers thought he was the coolest dad ever! We have visited that location since and seen that this pic has made the wall of fame!
